welcome to Amira's Farm

We are located in South East Michigan, where we are blessed with a 5 acre homestead. We raise a variety of poultry and goats. At various times we sell young goats. We raise a veal calf on the excess milk. Along with our vegetable garden, we aim to produce the bulk of our food...at least we try! This site is full of my experiences and mistakes. I have also included web addresses where applicable. I do not intend to reinvent the wheel, hence I will not give details on how to raise individual animals etc. There are books galore out there and the web is full of information. This site is more about what I do or don't like and why, as well as what we do here.
